Dysport - Wrinkle Solution

A neuromodulator is a type of injectable that works by temporarily freezing muscles in the face that cause facial contractions. This results in smoother skin, leaving the patient with a more rejuvenated appearance. Approved in 2009, Dysport is a leading neuromodulator that has grown in popularity as an alternative to BOTOX. It is known for its efficacy at safely mitigating signs of aging without any pain or downtime.

We listen carefully to each client’s concerns, crafting a one-of-a-kind treatment plan that accomplishes their unique goals for improvement. While Dysport injections are painless and quick, they require the artistry of our expert practitioners in order to guarantee subtle, natural-looking outcomes.

What is Dysport?

Repetitive facial movements such as laughing, frowning, smiling, and squinting can result in the formation of dynamic lines in the brow and around the eyes.  Dysport injections are designed to block nerve activity in the face that causes the contraction of facial muscles. By preventing these muscle contractions, troublesome lines and creases are greatly reduced. After Dysport, the skin relaxes and smoothes out, leaving the patient with a more youthful, engaging appearance. Dysport is known for its efficacy at treating crow’s feet, smile and laugh lines, and glabellar wrinkles.

Procedure Details

The first step in any injection procedure is to assess the patient’s face and determine the best areas for injection. Every patient has their own individual facial contours and deserves an individualized treatment plan.

Dysport is injected into the sub layer of muscles that are responsible for dynamic facial expressions. The exact number of injections that is administered will vary from person to person, depending on their needs.

While patients have the option of receiving a topical anesthetic, most find that they don’t need it, as Dysport is a fast procedure with little discomfort. The entire session usually lasts about 20 minutes.

What Is The Recovery Process Like?

After the injections are administered, it is normal for the face to feel tight. Patients may also notice some minor swelling, bruising, and pain at the points of injection. These effects are only temporary and will dissipate within a few days. Patients will be able to resume their usual schedules right away, whether that involves going back to work, school, or shopping.

Am I A Good Candidate?

Dysport is designed to address wrinkles, fine lines, and other signs of aging. Good candidates for Dysport are usually 40 years old or over and are looking for a non-invasive solution with little-to-no downtime so they can return to their busy schedules right away. Patients who have been unsatisfied with their BOTOX results may consider Dysport. As with any procedure, physical and mental health is a top priority when it comes to candidacy. Patients should have realistic expectations for their outcomes, discussed in depth during their private consultations.
