What Is The Procedure Like?

A brow lift is typically performed with a local anesthetic and a sedative, allowing the patient to rest easily throughout the operation. There are several approaches to a brow lift, and the ideal method is chosen based on the patient’s specific issues and desired outcomes. 

Endoscopic Brow Lift

With this method, tiny incisions are made at the hairline, through which an endoscope, or tubular camera, is threaded, affording the surgeon a greater degree of precision. The procedure involves well-hidden incisions; any scars will be mostly invisible. During this process, the eyebrows can be raised to a higher position, giving the patient a smoother, more youthful look. 

Temporal Brow Lift

The temporal brow lift is a less involved procedure that consists of making inch-long incisions above the temples near the hairline. The treatment works to adjust the outer forehead while simultaneously elevating the eyebrows and improving the appearance of fine lines and folds. It is often performed in tandem with a blepharoplasty.

Coronal Brow Lift

This method is considered to be a more ‘traditional’ approach. It involves making incisions across the scalp from ear to ear. The forehead skin is lifted in order to taper it back, resulting in reduced wrinkles and a smoother facial surface. With this method, the scar from the incision is carefully obscured under the patient’s hair. 

Non-Surgical Brow Lift

Following the brow lift procedure, patients typically notice some swelling and bruising, which should fade away by the end of the first week. The patient needs to keep their head elevated throughout the first couple of weeks following the treatment, as this helps ensure a strong recovery.

Patients must also temporarily refrain from working out and engaging in strenuous activity, as it can potentially disrupt the healing process. Sutures are removed in the first one to two weeks after the surgery. Overall, patients generally feel ready to get back to their daily routines after seven to ten days of rest.
