Youthful Facial Enhancement

Sculptra can be administered to combat areas of hollowness and depletion in the facial structure, such as the temples, cheeks, and jawline. Over time, Sculpra boosts collagen production, enhancing youthfulness from within. It is often a powerful component of a non-surgical facelift or liquid rhinoplasty.

What is Sculptra?

Sculptra is an injectable formulated with poly-L-lactic acid, a compound slowly absorbed by the body to rebuild collagen reserves over time. Poly-L-lactic acid has been used safely in the form of dissolvable sutures for decades and has been an aesthetic staple since 1999. With the aging process, collagen supplies are slowly diminished, leaving behind hollow-looking contours as well as lines, creases, and folds. Once collagen has been restored, the complexion appears fuller and more supple, with a youthful structural foundation.

FAQ

When can I see results after my Sculptra treatment?

How can I prepare for Sculptra?

When can I see results after my Sculptra treatment?

Because Sculptra works by replenishing collagen, results appear gradually over time rather than instantly. Patients can see improvements within about one month, with results continuing to evolve over the course of 4-6 months. Changes last up to 2 years or sometimes longer.

How can I prepare for Sculptra?

Sculptra does not require allergy testing. However, prior to their injections, patients should avoid aspirin, Vitamin E, and other blood thinning medications, as these can increase bruising.

How Are Sculptra Injections Performed?

Treatment with Sculptra typically takes 20-30 minutes to complete. The skin is marked with a surgical pen to indicate the precise points of entry and a topical anesthetic is applied to enhance comfort.

Sculptra is injected deeper than other fillers in order to trigger collagen regeneration over time. Once the injections are over, the skin is then gently massaged to ensure the product is evenly distributed.

In order to maintain your results, you may need to undergo multiple sessions with Sculptra, spaced two weeks apart. Most clients can expect that 2-7 Sculptra appointments will achieve their goals.

Who Is a Good Candidate for Sculptra?

Patients concerned with volume loss in the cheeks, temples, or chin areas will find Sculptra to be beneficial and rewarding. The injectable can also be used in other areas as well, such as the neck, knees, buttocks, and décolletage area. As with any cosmetic endeavor, clients should be healthy non-smokers with realistic expectations. We will conduct a thorough consultation and skin analysis to ensure that Sculptra is a match for your goals.

Recovery

Sculptra is non-invasive and non-surgical, so there is no downtime or recovery to speak of. Some patients may experience mild swelling, bruising, or tingling at the injection sites, but these side effects are no more bothersome than a minor sunburn. They typically abate within a few hours or by the end of the day. An ice pack can be used to alleviate any discomfort.
